Intune combines Internet security software with a Windows update monitor. Sold as a monthly service, Intune also allows users to designate a Partner of Record for this service. If purchasers choose SOHOBE as the Partner of Record, the option allows me to “see” what the status of such updates and security is on these systems. (more…)

The Technology Forecast?
Partly Cloudy
The forecast at SOHOBE is partly cloudy and getting cloudier. But this is the technology forecast. Over the past few months, SOHOMike has been beta testing a cloud-based Trouble Ticketing system. The goal of implementing the system was twofold. Goal one was to provide a more consistent way of reporting client issues than e-mail can. Goal two was to setup a way to track the issues to their resolution, so that problems would be considered fixed, worked around, or not worth pursuing. The ability to do this has made keeping on top of issues much easier. Additionally, because the system is cloud-based, I can access the trouble tickets from virtually anywhere. I would like to encourage my clients to try out the system for themselves, as the system moves into its final months of testing.
